OUR STORY

EFAM, the first accredited French school in South Florida, opened its doors in August 1995 with a single multi-level “maternelle” classroom including 7 students, a teacher and an assistant. Our founder, Mrs Léna McLorin-Salvant,  also an international French school alumni, saw there was a growing need for a complete French immersion school in South Florida. And thus EFAM saw the light of day at its first campus on Sunset Drive in 1995. As the years went by, EFAM expanded and had to move for the first time in 2022 to accommodate all of its classes in a single location. In 2014, as the French-speaking community increased in the North of the city, EFAM opened a second campus in Miami Shores. Meanwhile, the South campus moved to its current 76th avenue campus. Today, every primary level class, from PreK3 to 5th grade is present on each of its campuses. Presently, EFAM is working on several expansion projects, among which, the opening of a third campus that would include Middle school classes (K-8).
