OUR APPROACH TO TEACHING

EFAM offers a one-of-a-kind educational experience for each of its students.  We believe that school should provide a holistic approach to learning for the children, teaching them not only the academic skills they need to succeed but also providing them with the tools to thrive among their peers.  That is why EFAM places academic excellence and cultural sensibility on par with social wellbeing.  At EFAM, the educational experience is tailored to fit each child’s individual needs.

STUDENT-CENTERED INSTRUCTION

Our educational objectives for EFAM  are all based on providing a student-centered learning experience and include:

• Offering high quality instruction in keeping with the French Ministry of Education standards for French and aligned with district objectives for English

• Offering a plurilingual learning environment - including bilingual teaching practices

• Integrating social-emotional learning practices in daily classroom activities

• Catering to the students’ individual needs - including providing support for students when needed

• Creating a diverse, inclusive and positive school culture in which the students can recognize themselves and that opens their cultural horizons to the world around them
