The students studied the different regions of the United States through the first Native American tribes. We saw that they used a type of habitation suitable the climate of their region. We also learned about the resources of those different regions.

Each group of students had a region assigned to them. Using their geography book, they had to research the information relevant to their region, illustrate the information on a small card, and glued the card on a large poster wall in the back of their classroom.

Later on, they made an oral presentation to the class about what they had learned about their region. They thoroughly enjoyed this activity.
